Kathleen attended Boston Conservatory of Music, Dance and Drama studying Ballet, Tap, Jazz, Pointe, and Modern Dance as well as Dance Pedagogy, Labanotation, Composition and Choreography. Kathleen has designed and instructed classes for the Town of Hanover, Pembroke, Whitman, Massasoit Community College, and for Bridgewater State College Arts for Youth Summer Program. She has received various competition awards, costume design awards, choreography awards, and was voted Talent America’s National Dance Teacher of the Year in 1994 and received the prestigious Friend of the Girl Scout Award in 2003 for her work with the Melinda Carroll Girl Scout Concert. She is a member of the DaCi International and has performed with the Bridgewater Dance Company at Bridgewater State College, Boston Conservatory, Dance Kaleidoscope, Duxbury Bay Players, and more. Kathleen has successfully directed the Pembroke School of Performing Arts for the past twenty two years, producing over 100 performances and participating in several area and national competitions as well as leading her students in hundreds of hours in community service performances. In Dec 2004, Kathleen designed and implemented a "Hip Hop Dance Unit" for the Pembroke Community Middle School (Based on Mass Dept of Education Curriculum Frameworks) which led to the 2005 formation of a PCMS Hip Hop Club, which Kathleen co-organized and instructed. Kathleen's Hip Hop Unit was also implemented at the Kingston Middle School Jan 2005, and taught at the North Quincy High School dance Program. Her Angelina Ballerina Camp, designed to partner with literature, and foster creativity and self expression for preschoolers, was a highlight beginning in the PSPA Summer Program 2005. Kathleen currently teaches General Division, Jr Company and Sr. Company levels at Pembroke School of Performing Arts. Kathleen produced and choreographed "Peter and the Wolf" 2009, Nutcracker, The Maid of Sweets 2008, The Wizard of Oz 2008. Her team choreography continues to receive National recognition, special awards and medals at area competitions. Kathleen actively continues to refine her craft and training in dance education and returned to college 2002. She received a BA in Dance Education (pre-k-12) from Bridgewater State College, and is licensed to teach Dance by Mass Department of Education (pre-K - 12) May 2005. She has written several published articles on dance and teaching. Kathleen’s students have been accepted in dance / theatre programs at the following colleges; Hofstra, The Boston Conservatory, Emerson, Dean, Bridgewater State College, U Mass, Roger Williams University, Boston College, Boston University, Bates College, Suffolk, Colby College and Bradford College as well as performing with the Intensive (professional) track of Boston Ballet, Ballet Theatre, Disney (FL) and The Royal Caribbean Cruise lines, numerous other professional and semi-professional dance and theatre groups.
Miss Alyssa Daniels-Marucci began her dance training in Haverhill, Ma at Karla Pattarina's Dance Academy. While developing her craft she won numerous medals and awards at regional and national competitions. Alyssa attended Bridgewater State College pursuing a BA in Dance Education. Here, she was an active member of the Dance Company and the competitive Dance Ensemble. In addition to performing Alyssa choreographed numerous pieces for student performances at Bridgewater State College. In 2004 Alyssa graduated from Bridgewater State College with a BA in Dance Education. Alyssa joined the PSPA dance family in 2002 and is co-choreographer for the PSPA Dance Team. Her original choreography has received numerous special awards and medals at are competitions. Alyssa currently teaches General Division, Jr. Company and Sr. Company levels at PSPA.
Miss Athina has danced throughout New England and London since the age of three. She graduated Cum Laude from Roger Williams University receiving her BA in dance Performance, minor in Business and core concentration in British Studies. While attending RWU, she trained extensively under Kelli Wicke Davis and was an active member of The Dance Theatre performing works by Gary Shore, France Hunter, Melody Ruffin -Ward, DeAnna Pellecchia, L"Anoinette Steins and Martha Graham debuting ay RWU, RIC, and ACDFA. Athina has choreographed local studio dances performed at The Boston Celtics, Walt Disney World and several Dance Competition as well producing The Nutcracker, The Little Mermaid, Beauty and the Beast and Sleeping Beauty. Athina is an active judge for local competitions, founder of Asofian Dance and recently Co-Produced The Shared Choreographers' Concert, Explore, Emote, Express at The Dance Complex in Cambridge, Ma under the supervision of Rozann Kraus.
Mr Andrew has long been a part of PSPA focusing the majority of his energy on music recording and editing and well as participating on Dance Team. Andrew is a hip hop dancer at heart and brings a unique street style to the class and his performances. Andrews' piece "Black Violin" 2009 received National recognition at both Turn It UP and International Dance Challenge and received Platinum medal standing as well as "special recognition" awards. Andrew performed and co-choreographed our competition piece "Take It " 2007 as well as all the music editing and remixing and at the request of parents Andrew has competed in the Dance Olympus, IDC, Turn It Up and ADA regional and National events. Andrew will be instructing our beginner Hip Hop classes ages 6 to 12 on Tuesday afternoons as well as choreographing for the competition Team.
