CALLBOARD February 2008 Dance America/Dance Olympus Competition Dates: February 16th & 17th. The studio will be closed during school vacation week, Feb 18th-23rd. The studio will reopen on Monday Feb 25th. January 2008 Final costume payment due for Genral Division and Senior Company. The studio will be closed Jan 21st in observance of MLK. DECEMBER 2007 GENERAL DIVISION and Senior Co Costume installment due Dec 15th. Competition team costumes payment due December 10th. "In Studio" performances for General Division will take place the week of December 17th. NOVEMBER 2007 The studio will be closed Veterans Day. Senior Co initial costume deposit due Nov15th. OCTOBER 2007 The studio will be closed Columbus Day . No Classes Hallowen Night 10/31/07 SEPTEMBER 2007 Fall registration ongoing. Classes begin September 11, 2007. AUGUST 2007 PSPA performed at the 2007 Pembroke Arts Festival held on the Town Green , August 4th & 5th. Thank you to all participating performers, crew and parents. The PSPA Open House. JULY 2007 The Competition Team competed in the IDC Nationals held at the Lowell Memorial Auditorium, Lowell MA. A special note of congratulations to four of our dancers, Michele Boyd, Ashley Gumpright, Marissa Hill & Johanna Wescott for competing for the respective IDC Petite and Senior Dancer of the Year. As a group, PSPA earned 12 gold and 17 silver medals. Congratulations to all!!!! JUNE 2007 Picture Day June 4th & 5th. The June Recital will be held at the Pembroke High School, Learning Lane on Friday, June 22nd & Sunday , June 24th. Rehearsal week will also take place at Pembroke High School. MARCH 2007 IDC Regional competition March 27-28th. ADA Competition March 30th - April 1st FEBRUARY 2007 "Dance Expressions" Performance - February 4th , Cushing Memorial Hall, Norwell. This event was quite a success enabling the dancers to perform before friends and family. Thank you to everyone who helped make this event such a success. JANUARY 2007 Studio reopens January 3rd. Costume balances due by January 13th. All costumes must be paid in full prior to ordering. DECEMBER 2006 "In Studio" performances for general division classes. General Division & Senior Co costume deposits due 12/12/06. The studio will close for Christmas break 12/25/06 through 01/02/07. NOVEMBER 2006 Dance Olympus - Our dancers participated in Dance Oympus Competition and Workshop this past weekend. Caitlin and Kaylee performed a lyrical duet "Moving Day" choreographed by Miss Kathleen. These dancers received 1st place, and received "Best Emotional Execution" for a Duo/Trio in their age and as well as "High Score Duo/Trio" award for their age category. Devon performed her lyrical "Journey to the Past" choreographed by Miss Alyssa. This was one of the largest dance divisions in the event! Devon received 4th place. Senior Co costume deposit due Nov 12TH. Thanksgiving break - 11/22 through 11/25. The studio will reopen 11/27. SEPTEMBER 2006 *SAT., September 9th - Open House 10:00AM -2:00Pm *PSPA Classes Begin for the 2006-2007 Dance Season, Tuesday Sept 12th AUGUST 2006 * Pembroke Art Festival Performance: Sat & Sun, August 5th & 6th 2:00 PM Performance On the Town Green - Open to the Public. *PSPA Open House Dates Week of August 21st JULY 2006 *Dance Olympus Competition and Workshops July 18th-July 24th, Randolph, MA Our Dance Team outperformed themselves earning 5 Gold Awards and 5 Silver Awards. In addition to the Sr Solo High Score Award, Small Group High Score Award, A Dance Olympus Scholarship Award and A VIP Audition Winner! * PSPA Summer Session Begins - July 24th JUNE 2006 * "A Night On Broadway " June Recital -Friday June 23rd and Sunday June25th. Both shows received Rave Reviews! MARCH 2005 *PSPA Dance Team competes in the ADA Regional Competition & qualifies for the National Competition in July.
FEBRUARY 2005 JANUARY 2005 * Studio reopens Monday , January 3rd after the holiday break *Silver Lake Hip-Hop Unit: Miss Kathleen will be presenting a daily Hip-Hop Dance Unit to students during their regular Phys Ed Class at Silver Lake Middle School beginning Monday, January 10th. * Costumes - ALL COSTUMES FOR THE JUNE PERFORMANCEMUST BE PAID IN FULL BY JANUARY 12TH. * Pembroke Community Middle School Dance Club/Dance Team -Miss Kathleen & Miss Jennifer have been invited to create a Dance Teamfor the new Pembroke Community Middle School. The dance Team will meetweekly beginning January 11th.
DECEMBER 2004 * Holiday Performance - Our Dance Team, along with special guests will be presenting a Holiday Performance at the Pembroke Middle School, December 18, 2004 @ 4:00 PM. Proceeds to benefit upcoming Dance Team events. * Holiday Break - Studio will be closed at the end of the day Thursday, Dec 23rd,and will reopen on Monday, January 3rd. *Pembroke Community Center Middle School Hip-Hop Dance Unit - Miss Kathleen & Miss Jennifer have been invited to create a Hip-Hop Dance Unit for the Pembroke Community Middle School. This unit open to all Middle School students, was designed by Miss Kathleen in accordance with the MA Department of Education Dance Curriculum Frameworks and is scheduled to take place December 13th -23rd. *June Costume Deposits - A reminder that all costume deposits must be received no later than December 20th.
NOVEMBER 2004 *Veterans Day - Studio will be closed in observance of Veterans Day , Thursday , November 11th. * Thanksgiving Break - The Studio will be closed for Thanksgiving Break Wednesday, November 24th through Saturday, November 27th. *Brian Freidman Hip-Hop Workshop - PSPA students attend a workshop taught be Brian Friedman on November 7th at the Crowne Plaza Hotel in Woburn. Brian has choreographed for Brittany Spears, was nominated for 2003 MTV VMA Award, and more. *Dance America Releases Photos of 2004 First Place National Champions in Las Vegas. Our Dance Team 2004 first place national award winners are featured here along with many other performers around the country. CONGRATS once again to our Dance Team family members! For more information on Dance America, click here. * Miss Kathleen named area delegate for National Dance Education Week as selected by the United Dance Merchants of America. Since its inception in 1988, PSPA has always promoted and contributed to National Dance Education Week by providing education, public awareness, and community service opportunities each year during this time. * Project Action - PSPA announces affiliation with Project Action, and partners with Wal-Mart to help "at risk" children find positive art oriented areas to focus on. While we offer "in house" scholarship and outreach programs, this newly established affiliation allows us to obtain corporate assistance in providing "at risk" and "disadvantaged" children into our positive, goal oriented, cultural and performing arts programs. Miss Kathleen was featured along with Wal-Mart of Halifax representatives receiving the first matching funds donations. Thank You Wal-Mart of Halifax for your community support efforts! *Performance at Boston Colonnade/Brasserie - Miss Jennifer along with Miss Alyssa, Andrea (PSPA Alumni), Alyssa and Cory (Suffolk Dancers) performed on November 17th for the Celebration of French Culture at the Boston Colonnade.
OCTOBER 2004 *Columbus Day Holiday - The studio will be closed in observance of the Columbus Day holiday on Monday, October 11th. *PSPA Holds auditions for the General Division and Jr. Company students to participate in the upcoming Dance Team Holiday Performance. Interested Students please see Miss Kathleen. *DANCE OLYMPUS - PSPA will be participating in a Dance Olympus Workshop November 6th & 7th at the Lantana in Randolph, MA. Interested students please see Miss Kathleen. *Jeff Shade Workshop - Jeff Shade (Founder and Director - House of Roses NYC, Dance Captain - Chicago...) PSPA students will be attending a workshop taught by Jeff at Coolidge Corner on October 31st from 12:00-3:30PM. Interested students please see Miss Kathleen or Miss Jennifer.
