Competition Dance Team

At PSPA, we strive for a family oriented, fun and friendly environment with qualified and proper instruction. While we are not "focused" in a competitive nature, we do feel there are additional benefits to be gained by attending and performing outside of our community and studio events. As such, and for those with the desire, we have initiated a Competition Dance Team. We are very proud that our teams have consistently achieved among the highest scores in performance, technique, choreography, precision, costuming, and audience appeal as well as individual recognition each year in both regional and national competitions since 1989. We feel providing this opportunity in a friendly and positive environment allows the aspiring performer and choreographer to travel and meet peers with the same interests, further develop their creative skills, evaluate technical and performance skills and to set goals on a larger level. These events have provide our dancers with the opportunity to participate in Miss IDC Programs, Dance America VIP Programs and even lead Miss Jenn to an audition class that landed her a year long job with the Royal Carribean Cruise Line as Dance Captain/performer.

Competition Dance Team 2009-2010-Dance Team is by invitation only as space allows. Please advise Miss Kathleen or your teacher should you have an interest. Please understand, this is a "team" effort, and commitment needs to be considered prior to making this decision. Team meets regularly on Saturday mornings in addition to regularly attended classes. Individual (solo, dou/trio) choreography may be scheduled at other times. Typically, the team will compete in two - three regional events, and one - two national events each year. Specifics determined by October of each year.

Additional Performances

Throughout the year, we provide several (optional) opportunities to our students at all levels to perform at studio or community events. Please free to bring your local event to our attention for review.
